The focus of the Supplier Quality Management is shifting more and more towards prevention. The roll out of an APQP (advanced Product Quality Planning) program for all the important projects and with all important suppliers is a key enabler to achieve this. The program will be supported by local Supplier Quality Managers and a number of Philips Black Belts. The final objective of this role is to gain full implementation of APQP in all our projects, while all stakeholders are trained and motivated to deliver well
Role
As Program Manager APQP you will lead and support the APQP roll-out across Philips Consumer Lifestyle and its suppliers. In this highly visible role you’ll support Senior Leadership by developing and rolling out an APQP program, training key personnel both at Philips as well as suppliers in the use of APQP and support the execution of the APQP projects.
Moreover, you make sure the projects deliver the agreed business results on time and in full through identification, tracking and reporting. You’ll advocate the APQP approach and stimulate the sharing of achieved process improvements across Philips.
As future business leader you will also manage the project funnel process – ensuring all key projects with suppliers are supported by APQP.
To be successful in this both challenging and rewarding job, you will bring a BB certification, a Masters degree and strong analytical, numerical and statistical skills (like Six Sigma tools and techniques). You have extensive experience in the Automotive Industry and at least 5 years of work experience related to APQP implementation. Excellent project management skills and a proven ability to influence and work across various levels of management are also required.

The Successful Candidate will be measured against the following KPI’s:
• At least 80 Supplier Quality Managers across the world trained and well versed on APQP methods. Additionally 200 other relevant stakeholders need to be trained;
• At least 35 main suppliers trained in APQP;
• All A & B projects will be running APQP projects running with suppliers across the world;
• The initial Field Call Rate (or Predicted Field Call rate) of APQP supported projects is 30% lower than of the conventionally run projects;
• The Warranty Related Costs one year after introduction of the APQP projects is 30% lower than of the conventionally run project.
